Paranormus was formed suddenly, on a regular Tuesday coffee-break, when some construction workers (Bill McAloney , Lee Spurrell & Chris Morwood), deciding to release some creativity brought up the suggestion to "jam sometime". They tracked down a rehearsal space, and had two more members recruited by Lunchtime. Bobby McAloney & Bill Chisolm signed on and they all a weekly regiment immediately... and within months, had something going they knew they all wanted to pursue... feverishly.
Lee Spurrell (Vocals) had been playing music since age 15 and with that came an influence of music on the rest of guys. As they boys played together the passion grew and their talent emerged. Identical twins, Billy and Bobby McAloney found they had quite a knack to know each others every move; A musicians dream. Chris Morwood played the guitar with crisp dirty rock riffs and with Lee’s good’ol raspy southern rock voice this band came alive. Though something was missing. This missing piece was Bill Chrisholm with his “thunder Fingers on his bass. Paranormous’ sound was finally complete. These guys give a mix of clean guitars, precise drums, whisky fueled riffs, sub blowing bass.
As of now The Tuesday coffee-break are talks of up coming gigs and creating more music. They continue to play live and to practice regularly at a methodical pace. They recently finished recording their first 5 song EP entitled, "Birth" at Vancouver's Greenhouse Studios. With the music in there bones they are back recording and creating to give another album soon. This unique Sothern Rock has much more in store for the future.
