Perfect hour gather to stand together to fix what they see as a wrong in modern music. Four men got together to form a band based not on sales or radio play, but based on the principle of making music for music’s sake. Taking inspiration from the things they see and feel everyday Perfect Hour formed to write and perform honest songs from the heart. The band continues to grow together maintaining strict adherence to appeasing their own collective conscience, and uphold focus on their ability to share their music with their audience. Every time the band sits down to write, the focus is on creating a sound that can break boundaries and touch the hearts of people from all walks of life.
Taking inspiration from a range of artists like Otis Redding & the Decemberists, and with the help of producer/engineer Dean Maher who has produced for R.E.M, Sloan and ACDC, Perfect Hour has written and recorded its first album. The self-titled debut is packed with a melodic honesty that can only come from mature experienced artists. Each song tells its own story, inviting the listener to share in the experiences of the band's lives. The band's desire to reach the hearts of a broader audience is apparent in the recorded works. Music making is an obvious strength for the boys from Perfect Hour, but their day-to-day strengths and weaknesses are laid into each track through empathetic imagery, and affable sounds. The album comes together through great pacing, and rises and falls like rolling scenery with the rhythmic style excluding no one.
Headlining shows on the lower mainland at such iconic venues as the Roxy, and the Vogue Theater, their performances boast a contagious energy that can fill a dance hall with electricity, Perfect Hour is looking forward to hitting the road to share the music with listeners across Canada.
