Stone Iris is a creative collaboration of eccentrics who share one binding attribute: a deep love and devotion to their music. Comprised of members in their early and mid-twenties who hail from all walks of life, this band’s diversity shines through as soon as the first chord is struck. With a magnetic presence and fun-loving attitude towards their craft, they can only keep going upwards and onwards. Delving into a reservoir of influences drenched in blues, reggae, funk and hip hop these musicians forge an all original new rock sound which is unclassifiable yet undeniable. From its start with singer-guitar players, brothers El and Garret Niven, and drummer Jeff Burwash in Calgary AB in 2007, the band has picked up both steam and new members, wrapping it all into the compelling musical spectacle known as Stone Iris. Evolved from a simple four-piece rock band to an eclectic juggernaut with an mc, percussionist and keys, Stone Iris brings a high energy, interactive show, driven by groove and guaranteed to make ou move.
